What a week. I haven't been this happy to go to bed before midnight on a Friday night in a long time. I can't say it was all bad. I did get to go to my very first baseball game on Tuesday. Chicago White Sox. How I made it this far in life without ever seeing a live baseball game is beyond me. The Sox lost, but it was still a great time. Complete with beer and hot dogs... and some very embarrassing speed pitching. Making Mom proud.
On Wednesday Renee and I shared a couple bottles of wine and plenty of conversation with our ''neighbors'', who actually live 3 blocks away.
Thursday things took a turn for the worst.
Today I was supposed to help on a small film shoot but my cell phone died at a most crucial moment and I ended up wandering around a creepy religious cult ghost town by myself for an hour. It was honestly something out of a horror movie. The Baptists laughed at me instead of trying to help. I really can't stand religious people who don't care to talk to anyone outside of their organization...but that's a whole different matter for another time.
And now I'm here, lying in bed and watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on my ipod. It's the simplest form of happiness for me right now. Tomorrow can take its sweet time getting here.
