a certain je ne sais quois

I've got wine stained lips and I'm in the mood... the mood for food! So I'll cook myself some Pop Tarts (because pop tarts require cooking, don'tcha know?), and I'll fall asleep to episodes of MXC... also known as "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge". It's long been off the air, but once a strange Japanese game show/Spike TV love child. It's absolutely terrible, but I blame my low-brow sense of humor on my Dad. Good old Dad had a lax attitude toward what was appropriate entertainment for his kids. We'd sit down and begin watching something and I knew we were watching something really good when he'd chuckle and say "this is a terrible show!". And by "terrible", he actually meant "hilarious". I knew the code. Can't fool me, Dad!
This may explain why my favorite kind of shows are things like MXC or Jackass. My mom never watched TV with me as a kid and now I have a sick, slightly masculine, sense of humor. I think it serves me well.
Anyway, if you enjoy sexual innuendos and people getting hurt... check this out!

In more useful news... (and the reason for my very French photograph), I got accepted for an internship with the American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival!! For those of you who aren't film people, Cannes is a city in France and it holds the largest, most prestigious film festival in the world. I'm excited and nervous and excited. It's time for me to dig out my passport, find my international power adapters, and reactivate my European cell phone. I'm heading back overseas!!
