top o' tha marnin' to ya

Why hello hello on this faux St. Patrick's Day. This is actually the first St. Patrick's Day I've been able to celebrate as a "real adult", despite being in London when I was 19 years old. I spent that St. Patty's day in my dorm room, writing a paper for class. Everyone else had flown over to Ireland for the week... stealing Guinness glasses from the pubs and making hazy memories they tried to recount to me later... and there I was being studious!? I turned down the chance to visit the country my family is from in order to save money for my trip to Amsterdam later that year. I'm not sure if I really won on that deal.
But that's all said and done, and you can bet your ass I'll be spending St. Patrick's Day in Ireland within the next couple of years. It's on my list of things to do before I die. The goal is to find a place that won't be filled with douchebaggy American tourists. I want the real deal.

So tomorrow marks the beginning of the last week before my spring break. What? Yeah. I'll be going home for a couple of days to celebrate my friend's birthday, and probably celebrate my own birthday with my family. Dear Mom, Pie would be nice.
I really hate making the 4+ hour drive back to Michigan all by myself. I get sleepy and bored... and frustrated with trying to find a radio station that isn't country or christian rock. Oh the horror.
