Spoon!

I am spending my Monday evening with a glass of wine while I study for my Camera Seminar class. Well, technically now I'm drinking wine and not doing much of anything at all. Break time!

I knew the "picture a day" thing would fall to the wayside eventually, but dang... even I didn't think I'd give up this easily. Frankly, not much has been going on... at least nothing I would want to share on a public forum.
Shayna and I went to see Alice In Wonderland on Friday. I actually wasn't horribly disappointed. My expectations weren't set very high to begin with but thank you, Tim Burton, for surpassing them anyway. The 3-D was a lot of fun. They've definitely made 3-D way more tolerable in the past couple of years. The story wasn't nearly as terrible as the reviews are saying. I really liked that it was supposed to be a sequel because, to be honest, I hated the original Disney animated version of Alice in Wonderland. It freaked me out as a kid and I haven't watched it since. HATED it so much! But I'd actually see Burton's version again.
Adding to the whole kid feeling we had going on, Shayna bought a tiny bottle of 'Sour Drops' from the vending machine in the bathroom. Yes, the bathroom.
Subtracting from the whole kid feeling... we ended the night at a bar, subsequently crashing Bryan's "guys night". Worth it.

After hearing about chatroulette over and over again, I finally decided to check out "the worst site on the internet". If you haven't heard of it, it's a really simple website... just hook up your webcam and then click "Next", then you're connected to someone random, somewhere else in the world. In theory, it sounds like it would be kind of fun but it turns out the rumors are true. It really is incredibly creepy. Definitely not for kids, the site warns that you must be 16, but it should probably be for 18+. I clicked thru and 80% of the time, all I saw were dicks. Seriously.
Having worked in a porn shop for a little while, I've already seen more than I've wanted to see... so none of what I stumbled across was that shocking. At the same time, I was hoping I would run into more interesting people than perverts. I managed to come across some good ones... check out my screen shots!

These guys were cool! They're pretty much the only cool people I stumbled upon, and I actually spent some time talking to them. Here they are having a drink for me.

But overall, the website is mostly dicks, some people in masks, and drunk people. Definitely not worth checking out if you don't have a sense of humor.
