I've almost definitively decided on a shamrock and the saying "Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand"... but I'm thinking I want the phrasing to be in gaelic.
^it is the last two lines of the Irish blessing:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
I decided on it because it has a couple of different meanings to me... it reflects my Irish heritage, it is in remembrance of everyone I have lost- including my Grandpa Boomer and Aunt Louisa, and having "God" tattooed on me is a huge step considering my personal struggle with faith and religion. I don't know if I'll go through with it, as much as I've thought about it. But if I do, I know I won't regret it.
